US woman loses hands, legs after consuming contaminated fish

Laura Barajas, a 40-year-old woman, was compelled to undergo the amputation of all four of her limbs following the consumption of contaminated tilapia. It is suspected that the bacterium Vibrio vulnificus contaminated the fish that was eaten by the mother of a six-year-old, resulting in her current state of health.
